Meet Alice Wanjeri Karoki!
Alice is the youngest of five children. Her father passed away when she was nine. Her mother tried to provide for the family by taking on farm work and other casual jobs but she cannot earn enough to send all five children to school. Due to the sudden loss of her father to illness, Alice is driven to do well in school and become a doctor so she can help others. At Tumaini, she can pursue her dreams because she doesn’t have to worry about being sent home for lack of school fees.
