Meet Beatrice Waithira Kenda!
Beatrice is the fourth born in the family of five. Her family was displaced after the political violence in Narok, and her father died in January 2014. Beatrice’s mom was forced to take her kids with her to do casual work to earn a living during the day. At the beginning of 2015, the mother got sick and was admitted to Gilgil district hospital. The children continued working to help pay the mother’s medical bills. The pastor of their church A.I.P.C.A asked Strong Tower to take in the children so that they have a safe place to sleep and are also able to attend school and continue their education. Beatrice is now enrolled in school and excited to learn.
