Charles
Meet Charles Kamonde Mwaniki!
Charles is an orphan. Both parents died of H.I.V. He was taken to Tumaini Children’s home. The manager of Tumaini Children’s home tested all the children for HIV as the government of Kenya had declared that children in the children’s homes should be separated from those who test HIV positive. Charles has tested positive. Since GOA had not started a home for HIV children, Bishop David asked Pastor Paul & Martha if Charles could stay with them. When Beat the Drum children’s home was started, Charles had been connected to Paul’s family to an extent that it would cause him to go through the pain and rejection of being an orphan over again. So, Paul and Martha consulted with GOA and decided to keep him. Charles is receiving special attention due to his poor educational background. He has lived with Paul & Martha since approximately 2010. Charles’ likes to swim and hopes to become an electrical engineer.
