Monica
Meet Monica Wairimu Njeri!
Monica’s mother passed away in 2001 of an unknown illness. She was left in the care of her grandmother with her two siblings. Her grandmother was unable to adequately take care of them so Monica was forced to drop out of school in 6th grade. She got a job as a house girl at Giturai in Nairobi. While she was working, her employer abused her and eventually decided to go back home. One of her neighbors learned of her situation and ask for help from Tumaini. She went to live there in February of 2003 with her siblings.
