Meet Rachael Wanjiru Wanjiku!
Rachael is the second of three children. She lost her mother after a long battle with a chronic illness. She and her siblings were left in the care of their grandmother, who has been struggling to provide for 16 children through farm labor. She was raised in a difficult household where stability was often lacking, often sleeping on the floor and surviving on just one meal a day. Despite frequent school interruptions due to lack of fees, she is determined to work hard and make the most of her education.
