Meet Stephen Mutinda Munyoki!

Stephen and his younger brother Judah lived with their mother who had diabetes. In 2014, she passed away in her sleep while they slept beside her. For two days, they thought she was sleeping. When they couldn’t wake her up, they told a neighbor who discovered that she had died. Their grandmother took them in until late 2015 when she was in a serious accident and lost her leg. She is now in a wheelchair and unable to work. The boys often went without food and would go to their mother’s grave and cry. Now they are safe and going to school. Stephen loves learning math and wants to be an aviation engineer.
